I don't know how much we did get, but I took about an hour and a half to shovel my two car wide, two car long driveway.

My driveway must be about the same size as SHaCk's, but I only shoveled out half of it (and a bit more so my wife's car can get to my half  :D ).

Sounds like we all have similar driveways. Mine took a bit longer than it should have, since I also had to clear the hill of snow put in front of it by the plow.

All in all though, not too bad!  I do think I'll grab a snow blower when they go on sale at the end of winter, so I have one for next year. Shoveling snow is not fun, and a snow blower is cheaper than a kid!

We had some of the neighborhood kids come around and offer to shovel our driveway for $15.  So I paid them $15 to do it since I was working from home.

I've never had kids offer to shovel my driveway, but one of my neighbors has a snow blower, and he's often pretty good about using it on his neighbors' driveways as well as his own.  Nice guy.

I'm pretty sure one of my neighbors has a snow blower, and he opened his upstairs window to gripe to me about the guys running the plows and the fact that we're obvously not getting what we pay for out of the association dues we pay, and never once offered to let me borrow said snow blower, or to use it and take the place of me and my shovel.  Also had a bunch of neighborhood kids run down to one of the piles of snow at the end of our cul-de-sac, and not one of them wanted to make any money out of me.  I must have the selfish, lazy neighborhood.

By the way, as I'm sure all of you now know, officially, we got 12.5 inches.

12 and a half, huh?  Nope, I'd never heard the official figure, but I can definitely believe it!

All the weather reports said we shouldn't get more than 2" of snow today.  We got 3.7",  so close guys, so very close...

Yeah, the weather guys haven't been all that accurate this year.

Anyone else less than impressed with the City and their inability to clear roads this season?

Me.  It amazes me how long it's taken, in some cases, to get even I-465 plowed!  (I'm thinking of last Wednesday when I went to work at 6am... I don't think ANY snow plows had been through yet, despite us having a good 6" of snow at least by then.)

Yesterday, 65 N up from Greenwood was ruined on my drive in. I figured, "Ok, that sucks, surely they'll plow it before I head home today."

Yeah, that'd have been nice. At 6 PM, still didn't look like it had been touched

I think some of the streets in my neighborhood had been plowed before some of the city streets had...  city claims there's no money to spend on more plowing than what we got, from what I heard.  Don't know if that's accurate or not.

Actually i-65 and -465 would be the State, and city streets would be the City.

Ok, then both suck this year. Downtown was just as horrible when I finally got to it.

It was snowing when I was driving home last night, not a lot, but a little.

On the Internet that he also invented, no doubt...
