Now, see, if I had spent some of this online time learning to write code, it would have been a big help
Nice autumn day. Walnut trees are about nude, liquid amber turning red, grasses turning to seed. Cloudy morning with nice arm afternoon sun but a bit chilly this evening.
It was a nice, rain-free day here in Seattle and we're supposed to have the same tomorrow.
In Seattle, a rain-free day is cause for celebration, no matter how small the celebration is. :-)
Most of it will be back into the house here in another week or two. We just have to finish a few things inside. Then I can park my car in the garage again. My wife won't be able to park her car int he garage, at least not till she gets the stuff out of her side of the garage like she said she would.
Today it was snowing while I was waiting for the bus with my son.
We've got a ball of fire in the sky right now, but I hear a Nor'easter is coming.
Pandora: That's a considerable improvement over the current theocracy.
While I have a great deal of sympathy for those who have had their lives and property threatened or ruined by flooding, I have never been able to reconcile that with the profoundly broken logic of building in a flood plain. That's just silly.
I do agree that it is all the more disheartening when the flooding occurs outside of natrually at risk areas. At that point I pack up my things and wander off to the American Red Cross to volunteer time, energy, skills, and 2 more hands to help.
