To explain that last bit..

That's the web site for the Turmish online world for Neverwinter Night. I'm one of the DMs there, so to see the account suspended kind of makes me wonder WTF.

Especially since I kind of thought the guy set up the web site would never have allowed something like that to happen.

Should be entertaining to find out what's going on.

This isn't the first time tho' it happened a while ago when he (suspiciously IMO) blamed his wife for not sending in the check.

Heh.. maybe he's had a lot on his mind lately.

Funny way to celebrate a birthday, though.

I'm just now getting into NWN, haven't played online yet. Any recommendations, Fleeb?

I agree with him, and I have no similar bias,  do like the place, and most everyone at Karunth, is friendly and helpful, If you decide to join us there, my log-in is Lynda_Prime, look me up, I'll give you a tour.

Fates untold Destiny is good, but less extensive.

It was, incidentally, not that hard for me to fight my nemesis, a spaghetti elemental.

fleeb my wife and I are also addicted to the game, it's so very strange...
Here is an item helper - And here is a spoiler type site -

Beware both contain spoilers, the item helper will lead you through item, drink, food and meat smithing recipies.

Also if you are looking for a clan, the clan I created, very laid back, I don't want to get into a clan war with anyone, just a place to share items and get other clan benefits, seach for Clan of Won (which it was originaly just me, then my wife joined too) We have something in the clan that gives away 500 meat a day to each member. Woo!
My players are: icabod, sp0rkmaster, korkey, riggortony, sporeback
I have one of everything except one of the thiefly classes.

The best food inteh game so far that I can see is Hell Ramen,

Ooo.. Hell Ramen... sounds intriguing.

Well, if you should stumble into fleeb or Karamazov Stumbler, they are me.

I'm the same way at this point... just laid back, enjoying the game without trying to boost stats by beating on others (no breaking the hippy stone for me).

Mind you, I'm still kind of green at level 5 and level 6, although it seems at about that level things start to get really interesting.

Checked out Kingdom of Loathing a while back, funny shit.

Don't have HotU for NWN yet, I bought the gold box w/ original game and SoU expansion. Haven't really gotten into it enough yet to justify buying HotU, but w/o it most of the bigger/newer/cooler worlds seem to be closed to me. So it's something of a catch 22.

And my character's still a relative newbie, so it's not as if I could slog my way through Tomb of Horrors even if I had the expansions required to run it.

I did check out one of the Keep on the Borderlands adaptations, that was sort of cool.

Turmish Lands sounds interesting, guess I'll check it out if I ever catch up on the expansions.

We agonized over whether to msake such a requirement as HotU, but decided that the expansions were really worth it.

HotU allows your character to grow to 40th level.. until then, you could only get to 20th. For a small example.

Subject: Morrowind fans?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I've only played the very beginning of NWN SP, but I must say I do like what I've seen of Morrowind so far. Yes, the world is not dynamic enough but it does not railroad you much at all, which is a welcome aspect of a gameworld.

I'm really looking forward to what these guys do with Fallout 3. I'd love a world that changes both from your actions and the actions of NPC's. The dev's of stalker claim that the game will progress without you doing anything. I wouldn't even mind a first person perspective (I'm not one of those religious fallout-fan zealots, I just loved the games).

Anyway, I think my question was actually - does anyone else here like morrowind?

Hmm, Morrowind. Well I remember Daggerfall and that swore me off ever buying
a game made by Bethesda ever again. :)

Daggerfall was a hideous randomly-generated world. Everything was randomly
generated...the 1-dimensional NPC conversations, the quests, even the damned
dungeon maps. Completely and utterly pointless.

From what I've read about Morrowind it's more of the same (just prettier)
this true?

[#] Mon Jul 26 2004 09:35:28 EDT from fleeb @ Uncensored

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I don't know if that's true... doesn't seem it.

I have a Morrowind game (looks to be an early one). I did not come to believe the thing is randomly generated. It feels more like there's some kind of plot line to it.

I haven't gotten far with it, though.

no, morrowind is not randomly generated, and there is an interesting main plot (hint: the writer is a fan of the cthulhu mythos).
