It's a lot easier just to rent/netflix/download surreal movies.
That way you can pause and get popcorn in the middle and come back to it later.

That's nice and all, but I have to sleep anyway, so I'd kind of like to be entertained while I'm out cold.

That'd be interesting ... a way to beam entertainment, news, sports, etc. into someone's dreams so they can make use of that time.

Oh, how horribly distopian!

Beaming commercials into someone's brain while they sleep... talk about the ultimate in advertising.  You can't even nap without seeing the Burger King trying to hand you a Whopper.

I had a dream two nights ago that I had finally taken that riding holiday in Italy I have wanted to go on for the past 8 years.  The problem was that I arrived in late and overslept the first morning and I was told I had to be at breakfast and orientation at 7 AM.  I was scrambling through my suitcase looking for my clothes and couldn't remember if I had showered or not and was just a mess.  I managed to prepare myself in time, but by that time breakfast was over.  I hadn't been introduced to my traveling companions or my guide, so I was clueless and terrified that everyone would be a stranger to me.  Then we were all gathered outside of where we were staying and I saw this gorgeous lake in front of me.  There were tons of rowboats out on the lake.  I kept thinking it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and started to cry.  Then I woke up.  What's so beautiful about rowboats?

It's not the rowboats, it's what the rowboats symbolize. I think they symbolize peace, tranquility, and sunburns. And wet butts. But it's beautiful.

Chinese show the art of extreme napping

Bernd Hagemann moved to the Far East in 2002, and since then he regularly takes to the streets of Shanghai to find extreme nappers to add to his extensive photograph collection.

The 40-year-old from Lemgo, central Germany, added: "Whenever I linger through the boomtown Shanghai, I carry my snap shot camera with me. Because at every corner you can discover people that either are napping in the strangest positions and situations, or are even snoring, while sunk in a deep sleep. Noteworthy are the missing mattresses and pillow

Ever since Kevin and I have been watching Carnivale on DVD, I have been having the creepiest dreams.  I know the show is responsible for it because some of the same images from that show are showing up in my dreams.  They range from mildly disturbing to totally frightening.

I wonder if I'll get used to it, or if I should stop watching the show.  I have at least one more DVD full of episodes in the Netflix queue.

That damn thing is too true.  I still wake up wondering if I'm ever gonna finish "Topics in Descrete Mathematics" by the world most boring professor.
