Athos:

I remember an older Dr. Who, don't really recall which season, he had longer curly
hair (kinda resembled Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka) it was a total acid trip.
Yes, I would love to see that season on HD. :^)

(There, that's better. Damn that was weird.)

There are two Doctors that match that, one better than the other.

Jon Pertwee and the very popular Tom Baker both had rather curly hair.

Pertwee was the third doctor, while Baker was the fourth one.  You're most likely referring to Baker, though.

Are you thinking of this doctor?

Tom Baker

Sounds more like Colin Baker. If I recall correctly, all of his stories were done on videotape, which would keep it from going to HD.Colin Baker

Maybe, but I always thought of him as a newer doctor.

Here's the order:
William Hartnell (crank grandfather type)
Patrick Troughton ("Cosmic hobo")
Jon Pertweek (James Bond-type - white curly hair)
Tom Baker (all teeth and curls)
Peter Davison (aka Tristan from All Creatures Great and Small)
Colin Baker (80's grump, and the guy who's picture I posted)
Sylvester McCoy (started silly, finished dark)
Paul McGann (TV movie only, and Big Finish audio productions)

Then we have the new series:
Christoper Eccliston (big ears, big nose, no hair)
David Tennant (current)

Peter Cushing played The Doctor in several movies in the 1960s (aka to Americans and Tarkin in Star Wars).

It was at the same time William Hartnel was playing the Doctor, they also had a different actor play Susan. The Daleks were also slightly modified from the TV version; one appears in a Jon Pertweek story sometime.

Well, I watched the Simpsons' much ballyhooed 400th episode earlier. It was the one that
took on the format of "24". Personally I wasn't that much impressed. It was like watching a
30 minute promo for "24" with some comic relief tucked in here and there. Bleah...

The next one where Flanders goes after Kent Brockman for uttering a swear word on
air (*gasp*) was actually pretty funny.

I missed the 8:30 episode.  (didn't have the dvr programed for a full hour) I thought the 24 one was good.  I don't watch 24 though.

I think they were trying to top seinfeld.
Think about it though, how do you end something like that without being stupid.
You either kill everybody off, or everyobdy lives happily ever after which is tacky for that kind of series.
Yay for a second time the americans didn't get what they wanted.

Ford, when you don't give the fans what they're looking for, all you're doing is screwing them.

I would have liked to have seen Tony back in his pool and the ducks return, just like the first episode.

I would have been fine with that ending if it had gone 30 seconds more and Meadow sat down and they ordered food. That way you'd know that Tony is going to be constantly looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, but his family is important to him.

This ending was just dumb.
