well, we needed a new TV for our family room because the old one was way too small. So we got one with HD capability and when I saw the price difference for DishNetwork it really wasn't much more per month.
I'll be keeping my SD gear running for quite some time.
IMO, it's a pretty big difference.
But we don't even own a tv...
if we had the budget for it, I'd totally want HDTV.
If you need to buy a new TV, it doesn't make sense to not get an HD model.
And the cost of DirecTV and DirecTV HD was $2 a month. Well worth it.
I certainly wouldn't call it a hassle.... And overall, it's not
terribly expensive these days either.
Cost of not upgrading my SD gear: $0
If I were buying a *new* TV I suppose I'd look at HD-ready models if the price difference was not significant.
ah... content... there's a whole different issue...
If anyone had decent content, we might get a tv...
that is all
LadyHawke - Thanks for the link. I'm downloading the "Enterprise" MP3 now. I hope that it's the one without the guitar. That was the early version. They added the guitar and it sucked.
Oops. That was totally NOT the right music. *sigh*
