time to cut cost on dell hardware purchase?
somebody sending out that as a comercial definitely has to high prices.
You have any more information on that? I have worked with digital signage, I find this interesting.
its about 4mm thick, has a magnetic stripe in the front which tells the card when its opened.
the computer then boots (takes about 5 seconds) and plays the video.
it has a mini-usb plug at the top, the screen you can see, plus half adozend buttons to switch between the videos, start/stop/volume.
its got most probably 256MB Flash, which you can see ~180 with the videos through a USB-Harddisk.
it can just play avis with some special codec...
just how big would a backup of ucg be, and cant [n't you span multiple
This is my home server I'm talking about. Uncensored and other citadel.org properties are hosted at a carrier class data center.
Vas is dat?
well, one could call this a 'video postcard'
its got a little screen to play the dell commercial on.
after it did that, its just disposal. so, the little screen, the processor, the ram, everything inside is just a one way product.
thats why we need le bige make instead of a quarterpounder with cheese.
Please refer to IG's First Law of Everything for the explanation of why the USA has not gone metric yet.
I think I mentioned this somewhere else recently -- since food packagers always seem to be slyly reducing the size of their packages in order to avoid raising the price, they ought to take the opportunity to go metric. An 8 ounce can of tuna now contains only 5 ounces (barely enough for one sandwich). The next time they shrink the can they could go to 100 grams (3.527 ounces) and most people won't know what hit them until they need to buy two or three cans just to make lunch.
Er... I've used Skype before.
Unfortunately, zooer, I do not, though I'm hoping to get some practical experience, as some things have been happening in my neighborhood which have given me cause to start investigating such a system.
are plenty of cheap cameras available, but the quality is lacking. I have fooled around with "motion" using web cameras, but wanted something better. I
could not get Zoneminder to work on my older machine but I didn't put too much effort into it.
I would like a decent outdoor IP camera, not necessarily for security but it could be used for that
whew, didn't know one would have to watch basic instinct to listen to a nail-printer once again...
Now this is relay cool.
watch the video.
Does anyone have experiences with IP cameras, wireless or otherwise. Commentssuggestions appreciated.
I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has located a *cheap* IP camera. I'd love to deploy a few of them in and around my house -- partially for security but mostly for the fun factor. :)
