Okay, so what's everyone's favorite Star Wars character?

Personally, mine is Grand Moff Tarkin.

I think the big problem with Star Wars and The Matrix is the creators

became obsessed with how big a universe they could create....

Tolkien managed to pull it off without turning it into a stupidfest.

I think that's because he wrote books, not a screenplay where he became bogged down with visuals.

It wasn't bad at all. If you go back and watch the original movies
with an adult eye, you'll see they weren't that good.

True, but you must admt that the first three were may more ahead of their time and the last three, no?

I think that Lucas has become enamoured with the technology as well. Between his THX sound and being the first to film completely digital, he's been a bit distracted.

Greedo, Sy Snoodles, Max Rebo (for the twirling fat finger movement), 2-1B.

My little brother and I went through and obsession with Des Web, the guy
who played the wampa.

Bib Fortuna lost me at the mouth opening scene.

I agree. It's the death march that accompanies him everywhere. That first scene of the first movie when he comes striding into the Rebel ship after the imperials board still makes the hackles stand up on the back of my neck.

I used to have a couple of guys who worked for me hum that whenever I went down the hallway. Used to crack me up.

That would rule... I need to carry the imperial march on my iPod and get some small speakers to hook up to it... that would be awesome to have Vaders theme music be my own.

You can't have it. It's already mine. I may be willing to franchise it though
if you give me a beer every time you use it.

Darth Vader has prior art... of course he can't be reached to license it... he lived long ago, in a glaxy far far away.

So how does this work out... I actually own it on CD from an RIAA label...

so that means I already have license to play it. But would that be considered public performance? I guess you win, becuase I bought it on CD, I can only listen to it alone in a dark room under a blanket with headphones.
