Yuri - Looks like Parcells is doing it again.

Yup. Shame he's going out on such a low note... He made the Cowboys more competitive, but they didn't really accomplish much of anything.

He's also brought diminishing returns with each new franchise. Two Super Bowls with the Giants, then he made it to the Super Bowl once and lost with the Pats, then made it to the AFC Championship once and lost with the Jets, and now he's calling it quits in Dallas with an 0-2 record in the playoffs.

Yeah, but parcells change the way people coach football.  It's a pretty awsome thing he has done.  That's true success.

ESPN's new commercials for Major League Soccer:

Cute. I'm looking forward to the new season (European soccer can only hold me for so long).

Just saw a score recap today about some tourney the US soccer team is in, ending 0-0. Yay, soccer. Run around all day, no one scores and no one wins.
But somehow people find this entertaining. Sounds very European. ;)

Baseball bash: Yeah, the same way some people like watching baseball, where if you're lucky, more than two people do anything at any one time, which is 99% of it.

Football bash: Game takes 3 1/2 hour to complete but the actual time any DOES anything (and this has been timed): about 8 1/2 minutes.

Basketball bash: Group of people run back-and-forth and vainly throw their hands around trying to block something going into the hoop. Repeat 500 times. The end might finally be exciting, except then the game enters a slow time dimension filled with intentional fouls and timeouts.

Now that my bashing examples have finished - it's a sport, there are good things and bad things about it. I rather like the nuance of the game (although I quite liked our beating Ecuador 3-1 earlier in the week - even if we lost, it was a much prettier game than Uruguay; although knowing their captain, that's to be expected).

Ahhh, another season where the Jets beat the Dolphins.  It's like Jets heaven.  Well they wont go to the play offs but atleast I can enjoy the slaughter of the dolphins.

Makes me feel as good as when my Phillies took out the Mets.  Right guys?  How the Mets were knocked off for a better team, like the Phillies.

Next year I predicting the Yankees vs the Phillies in the World Series.  Two great teams, for a great series.

Right Aahz?
