Zooer - Doesn't really matter.... It may be true, but there is no viable alternative.

Tick tock. Today is the filing deadline for third party ballot access in another state, North Carolina. Texas was May 9. The window is starting to close for anyone who thinks they want to mount a challenge to Mr. Trump from the perpetual-fail wing of the GOP.

(For some, the window has already slammed shut. For example, Ted Bush-Cruz is ineligible because Texas has a "sore loser law" that applies to presidential candidates .)

People always get the government they deserve.

Really? Just why is that, exactly?

Because RD & IG are "evil"?

This is verging on becoming inappropriately personal

Settle down Francis, how about, "Society always gets the government it deserves."?  I never said they were evil, I didn't make the quote up in has been around since the 1800s, maybe before.

I actually agree with zooer. We've turned into a nation looking for the latest grievance and handout.

I think I need to wear my glasses when I post here, or at least get them adjusted.  I can not find the sweet spot for reading text on my monitor.  That or go back to the text client.

The Tytler Cycle is fairly well documented, and it's pretty clear which part of it we're on.

But as someone really really smart recently pointed out: the corrupt system will never be fixed by the people who created it and benefit from it.

Ahhh, so you believe Glenn Beck was correct that we have lost our way spiritually?

Funny - just six months ago he was called the most hated man in
Congress.

If being hated by the establishment is the litmus test for conservatism, then Trump is the single most conservative candidate in modern history.

Like I said though, I'm not looking for the most hard-line conservative, and neither are most voters, apparently. You know I've always had nationalist tendencies, and Trump's platform echoes positions I've held for a long time.

So if he doesn't follow through on that platform, shame on him, but the idea that he's some sort of crypto-socialist is a bit tinfoil hatted.

Thankfully that isn't the litmus test.

Dana Carvey does (poor) imitations of Trump, Sanders and Hillary.

If Obama said that Hillary is the most qualified person to ever run for President, does that mean she should have gotten the nomination in 2008?

(I don't know his exact quote, and I can't be bothered with looking it up)

Obama *always* lies. ALWAYS.

Therefore the following things are not true:

* Obama was born in Hawaii.
* Obama is not a muslim.
* Climate change is the biggest threat we face right now.
* If you like your current medical plan you can keep it.
* Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person to ever run for president.

I just think it is funny.  It wouldn't matter who the nominee was, he would endorse that person.  Somehow the simpletons will think it is a heartfelt sincere comment.  For Obama to say she is the most qualified person to ever run for President Obama is insulting himself.

I was just thinking about how brilliant ISIS was in attacking the gay bar in Orlando.

Gays and Muslims are both protected groups in the eyes of liberals.
Conservatives are generally thought to be homophobic, Islamaphobc and pro-gun.

A 9/11 style even united Americans.

This one divides us even deeper.

They're getting smarter.

How racist of you to say that. The muslim didn't commit those murders; the gun did. The gun forced itself into the hands of an innocent peaceful muslim and started firing itself. When are you going to learn? People who follow a ideology that explicitly and undeniably commands them to kill unbelievers don't kill people; GUNS kill people!

(By the way, why didn't we outlaw airplanes after 9/11?)

Not to worry; if Romney has his way, his best friend Hillary will fix everything.
You know, she's aiming to be the first F president. (It was supposed to say "female president" but the "emale" got deleted.)

We didn't outlaw airplanes, but we did stop knives and liquids from going on board.... And we stand in ridiculous lines.

It will be just a slow curtailment of freedom.

Here's a question to ask your socialistcommunistdemocrat friends:

If the Orlando shooter doesn't represent all muslims ... then why are you claiming that he represents all gun owners?
