Even a web page is polite enough to issue a 404 for a failed get.
You have a problem when laws made 2000+ years ago to protect children go unchanged despite very big changes in society.
At that time, a man couldn't disappear, because how far could you get on a donkey?
If a man in town refused to give his wife a get, then the other men in town had a talk with him.
If he continued to refuse, the next talk was a little less talking and a little more convincing... done deal.

The problem of Aguna is a whole separate issue.
was merely drawing an analogy to this stupid law that would "chain" people in the same way.
crazy shit in the news lately. yes, some of these guys probably do deserve the rabbi-hired-beatdown approach (not that I generally condone violence.)
Not a bad one....
It demonstrates the emergence of a liberal mafia who is now out to
sabotage the careers of successful and prominent conservatives.
since firefox is so dependent on the goodwill of the open-source community for their livelihood - both in terms of code contributions and cash contributions, it stands to reason that their hiring and human resources ethic should reflect the prevailing sensibilities of the open source faithful, which tends to fall somewhere on a spectrum between libertarian and social-liberal. that means tolerance for homosexuals. there might be legitimate concerns about the kind of work environment that Eich was creating.
It isn't as if Eich was running around shouting "Mozilla hates fags dot com!!!1"
He privately made a donation to a political cause a number of years ago.
By all accounts, he did not let his personal feelings have any effect on how he treated people inside the organization. It wasn't an issue until some liberal demagogue dug it up and turned it into a public circus, which resulted in a public stake-burning at the hands of the liberal mafia.
Now who exactly is "intolerant" here?
By the way, Firefox is only slightly dependent on the goodwill of the open source community. The vast majority of their funding still comes from one source: Google.
Now who exactly is "intolerant" here?
Eich. He's a dickhead.

So this site wants to do something against stereotypes about females? While it is at the same time showing a girl with a microphone (Remember, girls are always good at arts and singing!), instead of a monkeywrench or another typical male item? A female holding and looking into a mirror? Deliberate use of violet? Are you kidding me?
Some kids are bossy and some kids are leaders - those are two VERY different character traits.
Bossy kids tell everyone what to do in a way that makes you want to slap them upside their heads.
My former neighbor's kid came over one day (she was 9 at the time) with her little sister (6). She got her sister and my 2 kids (5.5 and 4) to clean up my entire living room. There was no yelling, just a bit of direction. My kids never clean. This kid is a leader.
LEARN THE DIFFERENCE before you start saying that 'bossy' is a term to be banned.
"ban bossy" in a nutshell:
1. Sheryl Sandberg is a BOSSY BITCH
2. She doesn't like being called a BOSSY BITCH even though she *is* a BOSSY BITCH.
3. Instead of trying not to be a BOSSY BITCH, she instead projects her problem onto girls everywhere.
4. Like all BOSSY BITCHES, she expects other people to modify *their* behavior instead of fixing her *own* problem (which is, in case I didn't make it clear earlier, that she is a BOSSY BITCH).
When someone shows leadership skills, no one calls them bossy.
People want to join a leader - to become a part of their success.
I honestly don't know enough about her to judge, but usually when someone gets called bossy, it's because their leadership skills suck.

Back in my days as department chair I had many a run-in with my exceptionally incompetent District Supervisor of Science.
Think of "House MD". Think of House's "encounters" with Cuddy.
"You're an idiot!" was invariably how I would end the meeting, leaving his office in what they used to call (many years ago) an "8 cylinder huff."
I have an absolutely zero-tolerance level for incompetence.
To the point where I would put "IAH" after the name(s) of the offender(s) on the Faculty List posted on the wall of my office.
Eventually someone would always ask me "what does 'IAH' mean?"
I would tell them: "Incompetent AssHole" and the uproar of laughter that almost always followed was more than mildly entertaining.
I suppose that sort of thing would get most people fired, or at least "formally disciplined."
Never happened to me.
I taught Physics and Calculus.
And in "secondary education" that is about as close to irreplaceable as a mortal can ever get.
"The truth will set you free" -- which is another way of saying, "being honest will get you fired."
