In 2008, Barack Hitler Obama promised to use whistleblowers as an important source of information when cleaning up problems inside the government.  This promise remained on his web site until two days after American superhero and ultra-patriot Edward Snowden blew the doors wide open on just how badly the NSA was snooping on everyone under the Obama administration.   Just look at this quote, directly from the "hope and change" rhetoric, that got removed from the web site (but not from the wayback machine) --

“Often the best source of information about waste, fraud, and abuse in government is an existing government employee committed to public integrity and willing to speak out. Such acts of courage and patriotism, which can sometimes save lives and often save taxpayer dollars, should be encouraged rather than stifled. We need to empower federal employees as watchdogs of wrongdoing and partners in performance. Barack Obama will strengthen whistleblower laws to protect federal workers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse of authority in government. Obama will ensure that federal agencies expedite the process for reviewing whistleblower claims and whistleblowers have full access to courts and due process.”

We expect this, of course.  Barack Hitler Obama ALWAYS LIES.

It is Obama, not Snowden, who should be hiding outside the country, running from the law.  It is Snowden, not Obama, who loves his country and wants the best for it.

So apparently, we have a new FBI Director; a guy named James Comey.  Anyone know anything about this guy?  Seems to be a remarkable dirth of information on him, other than the Lockheed debacle.

I thought the same recently. My interpretation of the media hype: NK issues these rants and threats on a pretty regular basis, kind of the usual madmen ramble like Lybia and Iran had as propaganda. Only this time, some intern at a media facility read it, crapped his pants big time and instantly went on their website to post THE END IS NIGH!!!!!

Other media interns stumbled upon it on $soclialist_network a few minutes later and thought "If they bring this story it gotta be true", posting their own OMFG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE news instantly. Maybe the initial intern was trolling on purpose.

Well, the biggest difference between the ranting before and the ranting then was that they had a new despotic ruler doing the ranting.

a reason why you'd want public health care:

http://www.pressherald.com/news/driver-says-he-fainted-before-he-hit-cyclists_2013-08-05.html

"Labonte said he suffers from asthma but is not being treated for the condition because he does not have health insurance. Labonte said he does not use an inhaler, which asthmatics use to clear their airways when they are experiencing respiratory distress."

You want anybody else commanding > 1t of steel to be healthy.

As a general reminder, those who push this sort of agenda tend to be off the far left/right wing crowd that doesn't know how to compromise and will therefore never achieve their goals.

Here's an idea: instead of a list of 100 unrelated pet peeves, how about taking a more reasoned approach and suggesting one or two practical changes.

the funny thing is, we as the western world always claim that nothing will change when in some axis of evil country a leader is exchanged, be it Ruhani in Iran who was democratically elected or if north korea were the leader is simply announced. of course the situation is totally different in our heavily evolved, futuristic, humanistic, peace loving and world improving own countries. here, our leaders make a total difference. the day the next republican is elected president, suddenly everything will be better, because he radiates an aura of supremacy which will suddenly turn unemployment to 0% and gasoline will be given away for free.

perhaps someone can show me some data how things really improved for the majority of a population in any western country after a change of government from republicrats to democans or vice versa. i think we have to accept that at least since the 1990s our economies can only become more crappy from year to year. the only hope we can have is that our income will still be high enough not to be buttraped by the system too much. the dream of paying less taxes in the next years will probably only come true if you increase your income significantly.

"Since the 1990's" makes sense, because we haven't had true conservative leadership since the 1980's. We've had liberal democrats, fascist republicans, and now we have the Second Coming of Karl Marx shitting all over the white house.

One need only look at 1981-1982 to see what is really possible. Reagan turned the entire economy around in about 18 months. Instead of blaming his predecessor for everything, he enacted policies that made sense for everyone.

10.8% unemployment at the start of Reagan's first term -- 16 months later it was 7.8%

Compare with 9.5% unemployment at the start of Osama's first term -- 16 months later it was 9.6%

(source: US Department of Labor; Bureau of Labor Statistics)

Let's face it: we need *true* conservative leadership, not RINO's. Voters must simply choose any candidate endorsed by the Tea Party movement, and everything will get better. Guaranteed.

Yeah, Kohl worked miracles too from 1982 on. I say they were simply lucky, that stuff was possible back then. It will not happen again. In the cold war, you had an enemy to aim your guns at who was also a competitor in an economical sense, even if that was only in everyones imagination. Capitalism had to beat communism, communistic economies needed to be beaten.

Today, we only have enemies to shoot at, but the whole muslim world is no competitor. Those muslim countries who do well do so because we need their oil, those countries who do bad simply just sew our clothes. Today, the youth know that they are fucked, that they probably wont have a lifetime career as assembly line work in the ever so blooming car industry. We outsource every shitty job to cheap labor countries, the shitty jobs that are left are paid worse than ever.

Look at Detroit, look at Bochum. Shit already has hit the fan, the "real" economy (not the stock market video game) will never be the same as in the 80s. So were should all the jobs come from that you need in order to change unemployment rate? Let them build autobahnen?

competitor in an economical sense, even if that was only in everyones

needed to be beaten.

And it didn't happen. The commies won the Cold War on November 4, 2008.

There are a couple of ways we should take care of things. Here are a few modest proposals:

1. Declare "Cold War II." Throw the commies in jail, including (and especially) the one squatting at 1600.

2. Admit that there is no such thing as "radical Islam" and that the enemy *is* Islam. Begin a new McCarthy-ism to eradicate it from our country.

3. Stop the manipulation of currency by the Chinese, which is one reason we have so much outsourcing of manufacturing. Furthermore, impose a 15% tariff on anything imported from currency-manipulating nations such as China, and a 25% excise tax on anything manufactured by union labor.

4. Dissolve all public sector unions, using deadly force if necessary.

5. Replace progressive taxation with one that has only two brackets: a 10% bracket for most of us, and a 1000% bracket for Bill Gates. No deductions.
Fire 90% of the IRS.

6. Close the borders effectively. Crossing the border illegally shall be declared an act of war. Enforcement shall be implemented by simply declaring open season on trespassers. Why hunt deer when you can take potshots at invaders?

7. Deport everyone who has already crossed the border illegally, even if they have children born here. We are the only nation in the world that has that stupid policy, and it needs to be repealed. Low paying jobs will go to American citizens who need them.

8. Repeal all affirmative action laws. Employment, education, etc. shall be done strictly on merit. The cure for discrimination is *not* more discrimination. (Fighting fire with fire is stupid. Professionals fight fire with water.)

9. Immediately close the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, and all other government agencies that consume resources without giving anything back, while stifling business.

10. Vastly reform "intellectual property" law to prevent the kind of abuse that makes douchebaggery more profitable than innovation.

Implement these ten steps and I guarantee that the economy will flourish.
There's obviously some hyperbole in there but the spirit of it is a solid plan. Anyone who disagrees shall be stabbed in the face with a Buick.

They are doing all of that minus the Islam part and the closed borders in China. They simply hate all non-chinese and nobody wants to go there. Shit will hit the fan there only a few years later.

Still, people had a perspective in the 80s, maybe even in the 90s. But what is the current perspective? Your agenda tells me that it is not world peace and the solution to all pollution and energy problems. It simply reads like "take down as many dirty bastards as possible, but spare me!"
