Meh.

I suppose Z's conduct doesn't pass the traditional "sufficient provocation" test in common law.

Time to jettison common law and pack up and move to.. Mars.

I think Z summarized it best so far.

Y'all are missing the point here. The fact is, no one outside of Florida should even *know* about this incident. As zooer pointed out, two aggressive assholes got into an altercation that turned fatal to one of them. THIS TYPE OF THING HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

There is HUGE BLAME to be placed upon the media scumbags, race-baiters, gun-grabbers, and other assorted scum who turned this incident into a national riot, further worsening both political and racial tensions -- and yes, I believe this is intentional (again: Frankfurt School thinking).

I also wish to assert that if B. Hussein Obama had a son, he would *not* look like Trayvon. Assuming the mother would be Mooch-Hell, any son of Obama's would be VERY UGLY.

And you are absolutely right.

And they, collectively, are profoundly disappointed.

Not because Zimmerman was acquitted, for this is exactly what these race baiting rabble rousers wanted.

And the most disappointed of all must be Barack Obama HisSelf.
Why?
Because as long as I have breath, I will be completely convinced that the Zimmerman issue represented Obama's best (and most likely final) chance at getting to impose martial law and "temporarily" suspend these nasty elections that seem to be destined to even further remove him and his comrades from complete "political" control of the United States federal government mechanisms.

The Zimmerman case was Obama's Reichstag Fire. And it didn't work. Much to the credit of minority communities across this nation, the cities did *not* burn. Images of police and national guard troops "quelling disturbances" did *not* get to decorate our televisions.

Peace, at least relative peace, reigns.

And that must gall the living SHIT out of Obama.
And for that I say to hell with him.
And the sooner the better.

I remember when the liberals thought Bush was going to have some terrible event and impose martial law. 180°

I am sure that the democrats are not worried and wont be voted out of office any time soon, the republicans have
not and will not offer anything better.

Honestly, the Democrats and the Republicans are as bad as each other. Surely, these two presidencies should have demonstrated that by now.

In 2008, Barack Hitler Obama promised to use whistleblowers as an important source of information when cleaning up problems inside the government.  This promise remained on his web site until two days after American superhero and ultra-patriot Edward Snowden blew the doors wide open on just how badly the NSA was snooping on everyone under the Obama administration.   Just look at this quote, directly from the "hope and change" rhetoric, that got removed from the web site (but not from the wayback machine) --

“Often the best source of information about waste, fraud, and abuse in government is an existing government employee committed to public integrity and willing to speak out. Such acts of courage and patriotism, which can sometimes save lives and often save taxpayer dollars, should be encouraged rather than stifled. We need to empower federal employees as watchdogs of wrongdoing and partners in performance. Barack Obama will strengthen whistleblower laws to protect federal workers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse of authority in government. Obama will ensure that federal agencies expedite the process for reviewing whistleblower claims and whistleblowers have full access to courts and due process.”

We expect this, of course.  Barack Hitler Obama ALWAYS LIES.

It is Obama, not Snowden, who should be hiding outside the country, running from the law.  It is Snowden, not Obama, who loves his country and wants the best for it.

I thought the same recently. My interpretation of the media hype: NK issues these rants and threats on a pretty regular basis, kind of the usual madmen ramble like Lybia and Iran had as propaganda. Only this time, some intern at a media facility read it, crapped his pants big time and instantly went on their website to post THE END IS NIGH!!!!!

Other media interns stumbled upon it on $soclialist_network a few minutes later and thought "If they bring this story it gotta be true", posting their own OMFG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE news instantly. Maybe the initial intern was trolling on purpose.

Well, the biggest difference between the ranting before and the ranting then was that they had a new despotic ruler doing the ranting.

a reason why you'd want public health care:

http://www.pressherald.com/news/driver-says-he-fainted-before-he-hit-cyclists_2013-08-05.html

"Labonte said he suffers from asthma but is not being treated for the condition because he does not have health insurance. Labonte said he does not use an inhaler, which asthmatics use to clear their airways when they are experiencing respiratory distress."

You want anybody else commanding > 1t of steel to be healthy.

As a general reminder, those who push this sort of agenda tend to be off the far left/right wing crowd that doesn't know how to compromise and will therefore never achieve their goals.

Here's an idea: instead of a list of 100 unrelated pet peeves, how about taking a more reasoned approach and suggesting one or two practical changes.

the funny thing is, we as the western world always claim that nothing will change when in some axis of evil country a leader is exchanged, be it Ruhani in Iran who was democratically elected or if north korea were the leader is simply announced. of course the situation is totally different in our heavily evolved, futuristic, humanistic, peace loving and world improving own countries. here, our leaders make a total difference. the day the next republican is elected president, suddenly everything will be better, because he radiates an aura of supremacy which will suddenly turn unemployment to 0% and gasoline will be given away for free.

perhaps someone can show me some data how things really improved for the majority of a population in any western country after a change of government from republicrats to democans or vice versa. i think we have to accept that at least since the 1990s our economies can only become more crappy from year to year. the only hope we can have is that our income will still be high enough not to be buttraped by the system too much. the dream of paying less taxes in the next years will probably only come true if you increase your income significantly.
