No, I'd like a litter or two of pups. There's nothing more pleasant in the world than laying on the lawn being attacked by 8 puppies trying to lick your ears. The problem is going to be to find an appropriate female. Oso is half German Shepard and half doggo. Maybe a female mastif so they're about the same size.

I don't like Rottweilers, which are popular there, or doberman pincers. Both are untrustworthy around other people or even family members. Great Danes are wonderful dogs but have joint problems. Maybe a St. Bernard or Irish Wolfhound female.

Oh,you want a HUGE EFFING DOG? Get a Leonberger. Saw one on vacation recently.

they're all sweet natured and kissy-faced for all that they are over 150 pounds at maturity, however. You probably want a guard dog.

on second thought, they look like pretty high-maintenance numbers. I liked that one but no thanks, I don't have a huge house and yard to raise one.

Just heard that our dog in California now sits staring at the computer room where I spent a lot of time. She's deaf, 15 years old, can hardly stand with fatty tumors that turned out to be non-life-threatening. Hope she makes it until I get back.

Sorry to hear that...any chance that you could take her back with you, on your next trip?

I considered bringing her this trip but don't think she would survive the transition. Border Collies are difficult to retrain.

Four live births last night...

and they looked like crap ..they looked sickly ..and shabby .the males were not nutered so breedind is still possable some females  had albino babys in pouch ...theses animals are very suseptable to cancer  along with other diseases .....why do they allow them to breed ...TUT TUT shame on you australia ..there is no need for it

While I would agree that it is uncool to allow them to seem sickly and potentially malnourished, I'm not sure I understand why they shouldn't be allowed to breed.

...any animal deliberatly allowed to breed knowing they have  a high risk of a shorter life due to cancer..blindness..internal issues surley has to be wrong and unjust to the animal ..albinoism is a genetic abnormality ........lets put this in human term ..oh i better not ill get verbaly bashed down in here .........as an animal carer in the past i have raised many kangaroos...and have also had to make choices about having some put down due to disability ..to see people with albinos just for the fame is bullshit ..lets face it no one here breeds them on the quiet ....there quaility of life is nothing like that of a ""normal""" roo
