just was at the anathema concert over here in cologne. Real cool! but a bit short. And i didn't like the after-band that much (i left half an hour early for the nearby metal pub), a british we do pink floyd with more guitar: Porkupine tree.

They (anathema) said they're touring next year as headliner... going to have to watch that.

Subject: Very Nice Job On our New CD

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I used a recording studio that I found on the website that did a great job on recording and producing our new CD call Go God Go.

Last week I noticed something relaly interesting:
Obsession confession by slash sounds quite a bit like the love song from flashdance.
Can't find anything about it on the web, but it seems way to similar to be an accident.
Possibly one of those vanilla ice things, where they heard the song in the background somewhere but didn't consciously know it, and thought they made it up.
Anybody else ever heard these two songs?

Actually, it's likely that Vanilla Ice wrote them both. :)

For anyone in the Sacramento, CA (USA) region -- doubt it, but I had to give it a shot anyway... My band is playing a New Year's gig tonight in Dixon - Bud's Bar and Grille on 1st and A sts. We'll start at 10:30, go through the New Year event and play until the partiers are done and/or gone home. Hope to see anyone there..

Sadly, that sounds a little out of my way, here in Maryland.

Wierdness, probably on my end... I tried to post this with the "Post to Uncensored" function

but it wouldn't work. Not to worry, if it's on my end I'll figure it out. I still maintain a collection

of LARGE hammers in the garage. ;^)

Here is what I tried to post:::::

SoundClick artist: Les Visible - I hope that my songs are about the power of the human heart in it's

search for something greater out.

*My Comment*: Very good song. Free Download!

Thanks for that IG. I was genuinely curious about it...

For now, the ten pound maul will still rest in the garage. :^)

Beatles, ancient vocal music (pre-baroque, but somewhat newer than gregorian chant), Led Zeppelin, some old folk music (not to be confused with old folks music, although perhaps that's what this is becoming), Chicago, Ween (at least, some), Badfinger, The Bobs, Three Dog Night, Peter Paul and Mary, Queen, Steadman, Gentle Giant, Yes, some Pink Floyd, Carly Simon, Fleetwood Mac... that should perhaps give you a flavor for the sort of music I listen to.

Favorite album: OK Computer by Radiohead.
That being said, everything and anything that is made with 'real' musicians on 'real' instruments (although I count synthesizers real, as long as the musician is playing realtime).

that's too bad, because radiohead sucks. ;-)
