I played my acoustic guitar for several hours tonight. My fingertips are very sore.

Click on my name, and you'll see the contest.

First five right answers will win something homemade relating to the answer.

Include your address with your answer, and I will mail it to you (if correct).

(thought I'd try using the 'HTML' button on WebCit, but it strips out the embed command).

Oddball conversation at rehearsal last night...

"Art, do you need the chords for this piece?"

< "For what?"

"For the guitar."

< "Do you want me to play guitar on this one?"

"No"

< "Then I don't need the chords."

We have a really talented music director but sometimes she's just so darn loopy.

IG - That's alright. You can't sing and play at the same time anyway.. <Silly grin>

Nope. Can't do it at all. But for some reason I'm singing + playing on three different songs this week.

Oompa band music is alright, I think. But, no polka.

Saw The Police last night at Giants Stadium.

I was impressed. They sounded great. Sting was in good voice.

Highlights were Synchronicity II and Message in a Bottle...

Almost every song was extended or changed in some way.

As for the opening act.... The Fratellis..... They pretty much sucked.

I forget.. weren't they (The Police) really pissing angry with each other just a month ago?

I read an interview with them recently.... Stewart Copland and Sting are the two who primarily fight. They said they fought 20 years ago, and they still do. But they take the fighting less seriously now that they're older.

They really did seem to be enjoying themselves on stage.

Yeah, I think I heard the fighting is more 'brotherly' now, rather than bitter.
But it did have consequences for an 'unplugged' album or something that they had intended to do prior to the concerts.

Ska... I haven't listened to much of it, but I doubt I'm a fan.

Irish punk rock? Eh.. dunno.

Actually, I probably have really limited tastes in music, at least as far as preferences go.

fleeb - Actually there's some Irish punk I like quite a bit. Flogging Mollys, and a couple others are quite fun when you need to just hammer away at things.
