I'd rather take my chances and try standing on a street corner in Detroit without getting robbed.

seed
either I have a bunch of dead network rooms, of traffic this summer has completely dies in many of these rooms.

We should see a slight rise in /ux systems in the IGnet in the very near future. California Man (although he won't be using that Alias) is having me set up some /ux's for a few non-profit organizations.
They won't be joining the normal list of shared rooms like citanews and gateway, but they may pick at a few of the other networked rooms. Hopefully this will bring some life to thoes rooms and give rise to some of the great banter that some of us are used to reading.

Or, possibly, the reverse... but you never know <grin>.

True, assuming that the rest of the world wants to...or would be
welcomed to...come to Uncensored to read it.

Call it a "value add" of Uncensored, then. The rest of the world can either visit Uncensored, or subscribe to the lists themselves.

Everyone is welcome here, except for two people. Two people out of six billion is so insignificant that it's completely irrelevant.

Actually, I think the list is a little more like 4 or 6, but I don't recall all of the names, now. <G>

Two. Count 'em: 2 (two). It takes a serious amount of abuse for me to have to ask someone to leave and not come back. In nearly 15 years that has happened exactly twice.

Anything else you've been told is manufactured history.

There are six billion people in the world. 5,999,999,998 of them are either Citadel addicts ... or *ought* to be.

There may be some inability to connect with DPII, tomorrow or Monday. In an effort to update some things, I've managed to screw up my server's ability to run Postfix, amavis, and a few other things. Luckily, the BBS still runs, but the redhat rawhide initscripts rpm replaced my inittab, so I'm trying to restore it from tape, as we speak.

Anyhow, I've got the BBS up, so networking will run for a while (until I go into reinstall/upgrade mode)...I'm downloading RH8, now, which I'll install, tomorrow or Monday, whenever I get the ISOs downloaded and burned...or maybe I'll just go buy a copy...whichever.

Anyhow, I'll try to get a packet out, ahead of the shutdown/upgrade.

Scratch that...it looks like I might have gotten the system back to its previous state.

Pardon me for being potentially stupid but...amavis is what?
