Apologies if anyone gets a bunch of duplicate network packets.

Looks like the filesystem in which Citadel lived filled up on me, and everything went to hell...even after I expanded the filesystem, Citadel would start, but would not answer any ports. I've restored back to midnight on August 23rd...hopefully, the disruption is minimal.

At the moment I'm trying to figure out why networking is all jammed up.

Still jammed?

I'm seeing this in my logs:

Still jammed, and I'm still having trouble figuring out why. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Glad to know it's still on the radar.

In (un?)related news, I'm currently building a new server to replace the one on which DP2 runs...64bit, quad-core AMD processor. I'll get to test the "new" export/import feature.

Should be interesting.

Yeah, it's weird, and I can't seem to wrap my head around what's happening.
Troubleshooting is slow because I have to take my Citadel server down and knock all the users off every time I want to test something. I promise it will be fixed, but I can't yet say when.

Freakdog: is it possible that there is a corrupt file in your spoolin/ directory which is jamming the queue?

Yow! After spending several hours last night trying to figure out why messages are not moving around, I discovered that spool files received from another node are being written to the disk as ALL ZEROES.

Then I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 1:00am and went to bed. But I'm sure we're close to a fix now.

Ok, I've got a clearer picture of what's happening now, and a fix should be forthcoming.  THe move to buffered I/O completely broke certain modes of transport that are used between servers.

Networking is fixed.

Either updgrade to the latest Easy Install, or apply the patch at http://easyinstall.citadel.org/netfix.patch

Patched tarballs will be available soon.

2 things of note.

Networking seems to be having issues again (I see 2 new messages from an hour ago in Citadel Support> which haven't made their way over to DP2).

There seems to be some lag here...web sessions (at least over https) are getting "Connection was reset" messages, and when I did a .Goto to get into this room, I got the X on my client (I'm running the text client from my home system) for a good 5 seconds.

Nothing new entered DP2.

Traffic imported to DP2 at some point this morning or early afternoon.

For what it's worth, there is nothing in the "uncnsrd" spool file in the spoolout directory...it's empty, as if to say it transferred something here. <shrug>

Yowza.

dogpound2 was stuck in a network session with haven. I have restarted citserver there and that cleared it up.

uncnsrd is still stuck in a network session with dogpound2. I can clear that up during an idle time.
