dothebart: Bugzilla does get read by the developers, but sometimes a couple of weeks can go by before we get around to it. We're a small group, so time is limited. Please do submit bugs when you find them, though; it does help.

By the way, this room is for discussing which rooms are carried on the Citadel room sharing network. Please use the Citadel/UX> room for software issues.
Thanks!

It's back. We had a card work loose...the raid card that houses /var and /home. I needed to power off the server, reseat the card, and make sure that it wouldn't pop back out, again.

Bugzilla is back.

There seem to be a lot of people checking out Citadel lately. I think many of them are learning about Citadel on the following two pages:

http://www.kontact.org/groupwareservers.php
http://www.sleepycat.com/solutions/opensource.shtml

These are both pretty good PR scores. I think the next couple of months are going to be crucial. Once the new icon set is completely installed, it's going to be time for a big publicity blitz.

Press releases sent to Newsforge and other publications that cover open source software would probably be appropriate.

Aack! I saw Microsoft® on that page as well. Oh well, it's the same old same old... jumping on the popular wagon and competing by copying other people's stuff. I just wonder how long it will be before they decide to aquire Adobe?

Yes, it's true: Kontact can talk to an Exchange server. Evolution can, too.
They do that to enable the use of Linux desktops in places where Exchange is already installed. Given the choice between a Linux desktop that talks to Exchange, or a Windows/Outlook desktop...

Has anyone been doing end-to-end testing of the various features in Citadel?

It might be nice to make sure, prior to your announcment, that everything worked smoothly together.  Otherwise, such an announcment could have a rather negative effect on Citadel's popularity.

Hey, Freaky, what's goin' on with DPII? I haven't been able to connect in the last 3 days.
Everything ok?

Everything's fine...don't know why you wouldn't be able to connect.

Crap...I know what the issue is.

New IP, specifically for the BBS, and I need to update my firewall rules...I'll have to do that, tomorrow, after I get back from my day trip to western PA, to pick up my kids.

Never mind...I was able to get home for a few minutes, and fix it.

Should be ok, now...anyone still having a problem getting into DPII via telnet, ssh, or citadel port (504) please let me know.

Ok, weird. I can't get to Dogpound2 at all, yet I'm getting messages over at pixel maybe once a day. Anyone know what's up?

I know. But I was only getting them like once, twice a day. I'd actually mentioned that. ;)
