"Beer. It's my middle name."

Sounds like a ready-for-tv sound bite.

I happened to be going through a pile of papers and it seems included in this pile are some things from my idea box from along ago.
This one is cute:

"pirates don't get documentation."

That one doesn't have a date, but if you think about it now, puchasing consumers don't get much documentation either.

Re the july post, there's lots of obese Germans who manage to squeeze into Trachten clothes every year for the wiesen. I think I'll avoid that. I need to start my resolution early, and reduce the waist. It's bad when you put on a Santa suit and you don't need much padding or any.

The other day I was in the airport on my way home and I saw the funniest thing, I should have taken a picture.

You know how in the 50s and 60s people used to keep plastic covers over their furniture so to protect it.
I always marvelled at this. While I see the point, they are actually detractcing from the goal, because the result is an uglier couch.
Well, I was at the airport the other day and I saw a lady with a big suitcase thing, with the same heavy duty plastic wrapped around it.
I was going to say something, but I had already started turning over my new leaf.
The airport people who lost my luggage said "luggage is designed to protect the contents of the luggage so we are not responsible for incidental damage to the bag itself."
Obviously the plasic people missed that point.

I just had to comment. I think some people are silly.

Was it raining? Was her bag waterproof?

No, it was dry day in florida.
Waterproof no? Very decorative, and ornate, like the 60's couches that are normally covered in this type of protective plastic.
My issue is, if the point is to keep the article safe and protected so it can be enjoyed, you're never going to enjoy it because it's going to be behind a pile of ugly plastic.

If she wants to keep it safe to enjoy the look of it, then she should go out and buy another set of luggage to travel with and leave the decorative set at home to display.
