True, but the thing is is that most companies stop making things that don't sell.  Like Crystal Pepsi.  But I guess what they do considering that they don't sell is they probably don't make to many a year and a box of that crap will stay fresh like all year long.  I'm sure there are people who just sit around all year long waiting for Halloween.

"It's Halloween Folx, start the engine!  Time to recycle all these returns and send them out again!"

I'm almost sure that the same Good'n'plenty that were in boxes when my Mother was a kid, are the same that are in boxes today.  It's the only possible way to make a profit on this sh*t.

Groo, that's easy. A giant corporation bought it.

Never heard of Good'n'Plenty but licorice (there is only one kind in the UK and it is black) is much like Marmite you either love it or hate it. Most people I know hate it but some, like my father, claim to love it. Though I've never spotted a lover of Licorice buying it on a monthly (let alone weekly) basis hwereas a lover of Marmite will buy it weekly if not daily.

Why do you keep saying that...I do not think that it means what you think that it means.

There are actually people who think that black licorice/anise is yummy.

I haven't met any, but so I'm told...

Though my dad used to willingly eat black jelly beans

Athos, you'd probably get along with another friend of mine.  His favorite hard liquor drink is called a dirty wop.  I know it's got sambuca black in it, but I'm not sure what it's mixed with.   I'll have to ask him.

Regardless of what's in the drink, with a name like that it's gotta make you smile.

My husband and daughter both like the anise taste. It's not my thing, though. I tasted Arak once, spit it right out.

ewww arak.

I can sorta tolerate fennel, but it's not exactly anise flavor. It's just too similar for comfort ;)

Amusingly, the French originally hated the Eiffel tower, as it marred the landscape.

Now, they adore it.

At least the add-on will just be temporarily bolted on there, and not a permanat change.

Unlike the Eiffel Tower itself, which is fairly permanently bolted to the ground.

they did that with ther disney castle in 2000.
They decoraetd the castle up to look like a big puff cake, and two friends of mine got married in disney at that time, and you had the option of covering the windows so it wouldn't be in your pictures because lots of people thought it was rather stupid looking, and it would suck to have in your wedding pictures.
