Gripes to the motherfuckers who live in my building who don't take their keys with them when they run out to their cars and then proceed to ring every single buzzer in the building until they find someone who will let them in. when will people learn that "open this door now" is not a suitable answer for me when I ask "who is it?" It does not answer whether you have a legitimate purpose for being in the building. Gripes to the same motherfuckers for constantly propping the door open, when the hell do I live in a secured building for if people can still walk in and out of here?

Gripes to the inconsiderate people in my building. So far there have been three fire alarms (all turning out to be false) and people have rung my buzzer (along with everyone else's buzzer, I know this because I listened to them swear and push buttons, I also know exactly who it is but they don't care when we report it) twice because the rest of the people in the building don't like when they prop the door either and they tend to unprop the door. Hey, here's a novel concept... take the damn keys with you when you leave.

The Loud Family next door increased their population Saturday by one.

Gripes to the bull dykes across the street for allowing their gardener to use a leaf blower to push dust and clippings into my bedroom window at 0720hrs.  When politely asking them to have the gardener use a broom and pick it up they slammed the door in my face justifying it with 'everybody does it.'

Gripes to this entire week. If anyone here cares I may lay it all out, but suffice it to say it sucked in ways modern vaccuum cleaners have yet to master.

Monday overnight it hit 20 degrees. Considering 13 is the historical any day record low in Tucson, that's a big deal. Set the record for that day by 3 degrees, too. Pipes froze. Just after noon one burst in my ceiling between the living room and kitchen. All hell proceeded to break loose.
Later that day I had a job interview. I had to stop the water then drive across town to my parents' house in order to shower, then drive to my interview.
Then I spent the next 2 days at my parents' place (and my mother is like a pin-free grenade) until the plumbers could come over and fix that issue.
They did that Wednesday. Once they were done, I showered and went to another interview at another place (3rd interview there). They told me they'd call me the next day with an offer. They never did. So I'm home, with a huge hold in my ceiling and no job offers. One great way to make 5 days feel like 25.

Yuck, problems never seem to come at an opportune time. Or singly. I had an msg poisoning, coffee hang-over, nasty case of the flu, tooth abscess and spent 14 hours traveling greyhound simultaneously last Monday.

On the other hand Greyhound is much improved over just a few years ago except for the search leaving Los Angeles going North.

Well, said place did e-mail me the next day following the interview, but I never received the e-mail. He called me today (Monday) asking about it, so I called him and he re-sent it. They sent me an offer. So that takes some of the edge off all this. :)

But overall I do understand you. I spent 2 weeks in Nov-Dec 2005 in Kiev.
Everything was great. The night before my flight home I got food poisoning, spent most of the short night playing Mt. Vesuvius from most major orifices, then got to spend 23 hours flying home. That was really awesome, too. ;)

And, more minorly but still worthy of mention, when I returned from a half summer in Kiev this past September, a head cold hit me the night before. It's such a bad idea to fly with a head cold. Going up -- no problem. Coming down -- big problem. Even worse when you have 3 connecting flights. Yay.

[I refuse to use any MS OS past XP unless they get rid of the crap in Vista and make the functionality more like XP's was.]

Gripes to allergies. I'll probably be griping about allergies the day they scatter my ashes.

Gripes to people who appeal unemployment, then don't show up for their OWN hearing, even though I prepared all this crap.
