You have to use fresh noodles and hard boiled eggs.

ok so do you wrap the noodles around a hard boiled egg and deep fry it or what ..it sounds like a good dish that my kids .would eat ....recipe recipe ..and is it something that would be good to put in kids lunch boxes for school ..

i need ideas for school snacks ....i realy dont wish to buy all those sugar filled bars that say they are healthy ..but we know there not lol

Sorry SG, Noodle is my daughter's nickname. there is no noodle wrapped egg recipe. My daughter likes to make Deviled Eggs. That I can give you a recipe for, though.

are you looking for after school snacks? Can you find edamame where you are? It's usually in the freezer section. If you have an Asian market near you, you would definitely find it there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edamame My daughter loves them and they are quite healthy.

I'm baking pumpkin pie.

well, almost

I didn't have any pumpkin so I used sweet potatoes.

took forever to get them soft enough. (I covered them in water and put them in the microwave)

It won't taste the same, but it should be yummy.

Also made cornbread. burned the top mildly, but it's fully edible.

no turkey... but hey.. can't have everything.

we'll be having chicken for dinner.

Someone should try an egg-wrapped-in-noodle recipe, though, just to see what it would be like.

why wrap eggs in Noodle. Just let Noodle EAT the eggs.

triL cut the potatoes in half lengthwise and roast them in the oven, (oiled) flat side down. When fully cooked you can scoop the meat right out. And we eat sweet potato pie sometimes for Thanksgiving so that's totally acceptable!

Tonight  I had this:

Pork loin roast, seasoned with garlic, sea salt, onion, black pepper, chile pepper, parsley, brown sugar, celery seed.  Cooked perfectly on the rotisserie of my grill. (about one hour, 150 degrees internal).  Steamed mixed vegetables dressed with raspbery/basalmic vinegar.  For dessert pommegranate arils mixed with blackberries and topped with real whipped cream.  I am incredibly self satisfied at the moment.A little smug too.

Here's a tip for those baked sweet potatoes:  Put a sprig of rosemary under each of the halves of sweet potatoes.  It will infuse the potatoes without overpowering them.

Deviled eggs

Boil eggs and peel. Cut the egg in half lengthwise and remove the yolk. Mix yolk with stuff (your choice but usually things like mayonnaise, relish, dry mustard and whatever else. I can't tell you what Noodle puts in hers b/c it's a secret). Put yolk mixture back in the little divet left in the white part of the egg. Sprinkle with Paprika and ENJOY!

My mom's favorite was to mix the yolks with horseradish mustard, capers, just a dash of light mayo, salt, pepper, celery seed, and paprika.  The capers and horseradish mustard gave it a slight bite that was awesome.

I accidentally made something that came out great Friday

I made sweet potato pie (well, it was pumpkin pie, just I didn't have pumpkin available, so I used sweet potato) and had leftover mashed sweet potato. I put it in the bottom of a pan, placed chicken on top and sprinkled with cumin and granulated garlic. The mush came out creamy and yummy for dipping bread in - kind of a curry-like thing.

Both Yaakov and Kinneret loved it!

They're yummy!  Almost as good as artichokes with homemade heartattack hollandaise sauce....  :-D

And TriL, that sounds pretty good!  Wonder if it would have carmalized if you left it in a little longer....
