And it certainly doesn't help that you can't properly spell or converse the term "eclectic".
You lose, you boner. Oh. I can't wait for your ranting reply. I *quiver* with anticipation (not)
but it will only help to illutsrate your true character. Bleahh.... "Die in a deep fryer."

Just some humorous comments Curly...

What really ticks me off is IG's webcit continually crashing the Safari browser or
vice-versa. Why in the fuck? This NEVER happened under OS9.

(is the problem one? or the other?)

Back to food...
What a variety...
There was the traditional tamales,
Spanish rice & beans,
Oyster chowder (or stew),
Grilled shrimp,
Venison sausage,
and a bunch 'a sides and desserts...
...not bad at all....

While my spelling has gone to the dogs lately that wasn't the case with "eclectic" which was a typo. Usually I add (sp?) when I know the spelling is wrong.
Truthfully I'm not much concerned about spelling as much as grammar and vocabulary, for example "converse the term."

Rant? Not likely, I find spelling Nazi's humorous and small-minded. These discussions detract from the thread, often intentionally.

You lose, you boner.

Were we competing? What's the prize? Have you ever lived in a society where English isn't spoken for any significant time? I'll warn you that your dexterity in any unused language deteriorates quickly and upon reuse returns slowly.

Is this an important distraction?

but it will only help to illutsrate your true character. Bleahh....

See what I mean? There's no rational reason to jump you for a similar mistake.
Three responses are possible, jumping you and hoping that you "Die in a deep fryer," ignoring an insignificant typo, or paying atttention to the thread.

I choose Door #3, Bob.

Trying to flame a non-native speaker over issues of grammar reminds me of the dialup days of war boards. I mean, give it a rest. Why jump all over a post or a person unless there's a larger issue, and if there is, why not just deal with that?
Otherwise...veering back on target, we might tie you up over a spit and slow-roast you to see if human really _does_ taste like sickly-sweet chicken, as I've read. ;)

Indonesians call it "long pig."

Grey Wolf, I am a native English speaker living in a Spanish-only country for the last year and a half with a previous few years in Germany. I don't speak any of the three as well as I'd like.

Hmmm, long pig would require a light beaujolais(sp?) or Pinot Noir...

I think it's pretty much universally known that long pig is eaten with fava beans and a nice chianti.

Although it's fairly entertaining that a Google search for "long pig" reveals, in the Sponsored Links section, that you can buy them at Target.

Naah, Chianti is much too strong for pork.

Unless the pig is Italian...

No, Curly's right.

I was out of sorts yesterday (not drunk, nor on medication, etc)(maybe tired)
but I'm not making excuses here.

It is known that Curly and some others have an ongoing thing and I simply
jumped on a wagon I didn't belong on. I thought I might be being funny but it is
glaringly obvious that it was not so. Curly has never been offensive to me,
so my post was way out of line. Again, my apologies.

Question for the day: is Spam the modern day head cheese? And if so, which one is worse?

A friend from Pennsylvania once told me, "Scrapple is made from the stuff they wouldn't even put in Spam, and Souse is made from the stuff they wouldn't even put in Scrapple." Souse and Head Cheese are the same thing with different names.
