Is there a "Degenerates Room"?

Just finished lunch, a dozen empanadas (4 left) and a large Coke for $3USD.

We had an asado (bbq) last Saturday and it seems that we averaged just over a pound of meat per person. That includes women who don't eat much and four kids.

Argentine beef is the best I've had outside Kansas but there is too much of a good thing.

I made Cholate Pistachio Torte for at work today. They only ate 1/4 of it.

i just ate a honey crisp apple that had been under a bunch of papers on my desk for 2 weeks. before i bit in, i wasn't sure if it was rotting or not because it seemed a little soft. what i discovered is that this variety of apple, which i decided i didn't particularly care for, is much better if you wait until it's almost rotting.

(still doesn't hold a candle to a pink lady apple)

I love the Washington grown Golden Delicious apples.

i think red delicious apples are actually some kind of celluose construction material, rather than fruit.

Are Fuji apples a OMOMOCalifornia-only fruit? My fave.

Fuji apples are popular here in NY, too.  I don't know where they're grown, though.  Large chain grocery stores carry them, but they're much smaller than the ones I get at the local greengrocer.

I tasted my first Honeycrisp apple last month, and I wish I could find them in more places!  A cross between Macoun and Honeygold apples, they're both sweet and tart, very juicy and crunchy.

I like Pippin(sp?) and most tart, green, apples. Even crabapples are tasty but I can't find them outside the midwest.
