Hi Rakin,

Thanks for the good work.

the citadel commandline client support is mainly done in the 'Save the Tex Client' room.

We don't track launchpad, it seems it doesn't offer any good methods for notifications...

i've put it into this pastebin: http://pastebin.com/yKpVJXMC

I see there is a line "bayes: no dbs present, cannot tie DB R/O:
/root/.spamassassin/bayes_toks"

I am not a 100% sure, but I think the db may be created when
spamassassin starts to learn from spam's and ham's. I have been told
spamassassin will not work unless it has at least 200 spam's and 200
ham's to compare.

Try this:
1. Create a spam directory somewhere convenient on your mail server.
2. Copy a spam you have received to the directory.
3. Run the command "sa-learn --spam /your-new-spam-directory"
4. It should return:
"Learned tokens from 1 message(s) (1 message(s) examined)"
but it could return:
"Learned tokens form 0 message(s) (0 messages(s) examined)"
If it returns the second message find out what format your mail is
stored in. i.e. mine is mbox. Then run "sa-learn --mbox --spam
/your-new-spam-directory".
If this works it should return:
"Learned tokens from 1 message(s) (1 message(s) examined)"

Then hopefully the command "sa-learn --dump magic" will now return
something like:

0.000 0 3 0 non-token data: bayes db version
0.000 0 268 0 non-token data: nspam
0.000 0 260 0 non-token data: nham
0.000 0 37458 0 non-token data: ntokens
0.000 0 1402314005 0 non-token data: oldest atime
0.000 0 1413458341 0 non-token data: newest atime
0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: last journal
sync atime
0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: last expiry atime
0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: last expire
atime delta
0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: last expire
reduction count

If this works I am guessing the line for nspam will be 1 where mine is
268, and the line for nham will be 0 where mine is 260.

Do not mix your spam's with your ham's as spamassassin is relying on you
to teach it the difference.

If this is the case, you need to copy at least 201 spam's to the folder
and then run the "sa-learn --spam /your-new-spam-directory" command again.

If this works create another directory for ham's and copy at least 201
ham's to it. You guessed it, run the command "sa-learn --ham
/your-new-ham-directory".

If this works the "sa-learn --dump magic" command should return with
more than 200 ham's and spam's and spamassassin should start working.

Good luck, I'm a bit of a newbie at this, but this is what I did to get
it working on my server. If it fails and causes your hair to fall out,
I'm sorry. It worked for me, even though my hair still fell out...

Sorry about that. Typo :)

and see this:

ERROR: Bayes dump returned an error, please re-run with -D for more
information

So the new command would be "sa-learn -D --dump magic". I'm off to
another job, but I'm happy to have a look at the output of that
later in
the day if you don't already have it sorted.

ah ok, thanks for the tips. i ran through your steps and they were all ok - except that i don't currently have over 200 spam mails to use, since i delete them regularly.. i'll come back to this once i have some more available.

Subject: list of all wikipages? deleting of them?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I do not remember all wikipages on my citadel. Can I somehow check all ever created pages, maybe in a list?

There may also be some pages created by other users, I like to know. Can Wikipages be deleted completely?

regards,

Mairus

you could probably use view=1 to force the mailbox view with the list. However, don't expect it to show all details.

I would really like to use all of the features citadel has to offer, where do I begin???

RTFM.
Always quote the text from the previous email. That way we can see what
the op is supposed to RTFM about.

http://citadel.org/doku.php?id=faq:start
Not always that helpful. For instance it or the manual (I can't remember
which) gives instructions on how to unsubscribe. These instructions
simply do not work, and posting a detailed description of the error here
didn't even raise an RTFM from anyone...

I'm a broadcast engineer, I spend all day everyday reading manuals. I read the site faq that you stated above..

my problem involved being inexperienced with linux, and was a basic matter of using the "chown" command in a terminal for the netconfigs directory.

for anyone having this problem, you need to create  the netconfigs directory (it was not there for me after the initial installation), change the ownership of the netconfigs directory from "root" to "citadel" so that citadel may make changes to the directory, as well as the group using the "chown citadel:citadel /etc/citadel/netconfigs" command in terminal as root.

Subject: Question about the server-side mail filters (Spam)

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello,

I have a question about the servers-side mail filters. I want to create a Spam-filtering rule.

But I do not know exactly how it works.

When I choose „X-Spam flag“ what have I to fill in the „contains“ box

I believe the other option for filtering Spam ist „Xspam Status“. Can I here select the Score of Spamassasin? That would be great.

What have I to fill in the „contains“ box.

At the „contains“ box is a dropdown menu with several options- what have i to choose.

Thank you for your help (and excuse my bad english)

Greetings Bernd

Thanks for the patch, Lloyd ... I'm going to have a look at it now.

hm, yes, the admin menu was restructured a while back.

SMTP related options are in the SMTP topic now.

However, citadel doesn't permit unauthenticated relaying - if thats what you're searching.

where did you find these pointers to the network menu? in the admin guide?

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply.

Yes, I was looking to do an unauthenticated relay, because vCenter does not take authentication...

Here is where I found the information:

I'll try to find another way to do this then,

Thank you again.

ok, I will adjust this.

you need to make shure the sender domain is non-local to your citadel, and you send to a local recipient, thats the trick.
