Sorry for not responding sooner. I've had to attend to my university studies in the past month.

There are some issues in the Funambol connector that need to be patched.

Recent versions of webcit have advertised CalDAV support for Calendars, which isn't implemented yet.

The GroupDAV connector didn't fall back to HTTP GET's if a CalDAV REPORT failed (some CalDAV servers only operate on REPORTs anyway).

Here is an updated GroupDAV connector module - copy into ds-server/modules over the existing file and install with bin/install-modules ('n' to reinstalling databases)

If there are no major issues I will probably package a bugfix release soon.

I am currently trying to run the latest version of bionicmessage groupdav sync server on a Centos6 64bit installation, I can start /opt/Funambol/bin/funambol, I added the JAVA_HOME path but nothing happens. I added some debugging "echos" into the script and it seems to run the whole "start" block, but ps shows no java running and the port 8080 does not show up in netstat. The ds-server log is also empty (aka DS-Server was never started).

Any clues on how I could debug that?

How embarassing....

JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/"

is not enough if you use it in the /opt/Funambol/bin/funambol start command! You definetly need

export JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/"

In the first case, the variable does not get passed through to the following script calls. Those calls echo to /dev/null so you do not get their error messages...

Next problem: Your hostname needs to be resolvable... which wasn't the case, so tomcat/catalina wouldn't start. Catalinas logfile is located in /opt/Funambol/tools/tomcat/logs/catalina.out instead of using /opt/Funambol/logs...

So now it starts and I was able to configure it.
